Odds and Ends

October 31st, 2008

Yesterday we were floored by the kids at Vera Lloyd. Brooke put together some candy bags for them and we delivered them at PE but what we didn’t know was that the students at Vera Lloyd had made us bags of candy and put notes on them. One note said, “Thanks for being here for us in our time of trial and sorrow. You make us feel wanted and loved. Thanks for coming to see us.”

We were all amazed and very humbled. We never expected anything like that from them. It only goes to show you that God has ways of repaying kindnesses that cannot be measured by dollars and cents or by trophies or recognition. Relationships are the crown of our rejoicing. We are affecting some lives and God is creating change.

Pray for Nicole Taylor. Nicole is the senior in high school that we are trying to help. She’s in the hospital with a bleeding ulcer. Hopefully, she’s going to be released by tomorrow without any surgery necessary.

We have four days until we have to move out of the Center. Worship on Sunday at 6pm and the Wild Game Feast on Tuesday will be the last meetings in the old building. Pray that God will bless us with a few more souls won in this place before she gets a face lift.

Thanks for all your prayers and support. I love you guys, bunches.
